Nadya Williams begins with the observation that seemingly never-ending discussions around whether ordained pastors should always be male can distract us from other aspects of complementarianism. She suggests that there are other conversations to be had to foster “healthy complementarianism” including those that point out that the complementary biological and theological differences between men and women, in service of each other, are designed by our loving God and necessary, good, and beautiful for human flourishing.
